“Topcon Chronos is a computerised automated binocular refraction system (phoropter + autorefractometer + keratometer + visual acuity chart) for a combination of objective and subjective visual analysis. The device allows simultaneous autorefraction, keratometry, subjective refraction and visual acuity tests, optimising workflow and saving space in the office.
The integrated SightPilot™ software system allows you to seamlessly delegate refraction testing to the technician: the software guides you step-by-step through the auto-ref and subjective tests, sends commands and logs data.
Systematic autoref- + keratometry measurement includes spherical and cylindrical refraction, corneal curvature and corneal power settings, while subjective refraction allows for adjustment of the cylinder power, axis and prism parameters to give a complete view of the patient’s refraction.
Subjective refraction and visual acuity (VA) tests are performed binocularly to simulate natural visual conditions, allowing for a more accurate assessment of accommodation, binocular balance and the patient’s actual vision in the daily environment.
The compact, space-saving design and automatic positioning system allows you to place several instruments in one room – an autorefractometer, a phoropter, a keratometer and a vision board.
